What is CBD Isolate
CBD isolates are completely devoid of terpenes, and non-CBD cannabinoids like THC, chlorophyll, and organic matter. This leaves pure CBD, which has no taste or smell. CBD isolates make a very versatile product which can be used in edibles and oils without adding any flavor and whilst maintaining its potency.
A CBD isolate is great for someone who doesn’t like the earthy or plant matter flavors or tastes which come with many traditional oils and edibles. With isolate, there is absolutely zero cannabinoids besides CBD.
CBD Isolate is often added to food by consumers however water and oil just don’t mix. Because CBD is derived from extracted hemp oil, it’s hydrophobic by nature and isn’t soluble in water. CBD isolate that is added to water will sit on the surface without absorbing. As a result, the water itself won’t contain any significant CBD.
Water Soluble CBD works by dissolving isolate or distillate in a colorless, flavorless, naturally-derived oil and then creating nanoscopic droplets of that oil with a high-pressure emulsifier. This “nano-emulsion” is stabilized with surfactants, molecules that can dissolve in both oil and water, such that the droplets won’t recombine and instead remain evenly dispersed in a product.
